How to Use, Care, and Clean Your Cookware
Everything you need to keep your Lexi Home cookware performing beautifully for years.
Before First Use
Wash and dry pan before the first use and between uses.
On First Use
On first use, add more oil and butter than usual to season the cookware.
Cooking
Cookware is oven safe to 500ÂşF. Do not use cookware under broiler. Cookware is safe for metal utensil use, however use of silicone, nylon, or wood utensils is recommended.
Sautéing and Searing
Dry and bring food to room temperature before cooking. Preheat cookware on low to medium heat. Carefully add oil or butter to pan. Once the oil is heated, add food. Note: food will sizzle when being added to hot pan with oil.
Boiling
High heat may be used for boiling. Do not heat empty cookware.
Oven Use
Cookware is oven safe to 500ÂşF. Extended use of cookware at its limit or beyond will result in discoloration or damage to non-stick coating or stainless steel. Do not use under broiler.
Overheating can cause the cookware to develop stains and/or become discolored. Adding salt to liquids before they boil or adding salt to food before it starts to cook can result in white dots or pitting on the cookware. Bring liquids to boil and wait until food starts cooking before adding salt; this will help avoid the formation of white spots and/or pitting. Discoloration of the cookware including white spots and pitting does not affect the function of the cookware.
Cleaning
Preserve the look of your cookware by hand washing it with soap and sponge, and drying the cookware immediately after washing it. Always allow the cookware to cool before attempting to clean it. Excess food can be rinsed away with warm water. Cookware can be soaked in warm soapy water before being washed with a sponge. Please note nylon scouring pads may be used for more difficult cleaning. Steel wool or other abrasive cleaners should never be used. Dry cookware thoroughly immediately after cleaning.
Never use abrasive solutions or cleaning products to clean cookware.

Discoloration
Blue or rainbow-like discoloration can be removed by wiping the cookware with sponge and white vinegar.
Hard Water Spots
Hard water spots which are cloudy and white may be removed by boiling an equal parts mixture of water and white vinegar.
Burnt Food
Charred or burnt food can be removed by generously adding baking soda to cookware and water, and bringing the mixture to a boil. A silicone or wood utensil may be used to remove burnt food from the surface.
